In September of 2006, Nancy Carbone and Friends of Firefighters were featured in an article by ABC News: "A Friend to Firefighters."
On October 22, 2006, at the New York City Fire Museum, Friends of Firefighters and Nancy Carbone received one of their highest honors to date, recognition by the Honor Legion of the Fire Department of the City of New York.

In May of 2007, Nancy Carbone was honored by the FDNY Columbia Association.
Nancy Carbone was recognized along with Friends of Firefighters' volunteer peer and retired firefighter, Tony Catapano, by the Brooklyn-Queens Holy Name Society on May 3rd, 2009: "Bravest Honor Two Friends of Firefighters."
On May 21st, 2009, Nancy Carbone and Friends of Firefighter's volunteer peer and retired firefighter, Danny Prince, were honored by the Uniformed Firefighters Association in Atlantic City, NJ.
