Firefighters and the military have always enjoyed a long and respectful relationship with one another.  In light of this history, Friends of Firefighters has entered into an enriching partnership with Hope for the Warriors.

Hope for the Warriors is a not-for-profit agency dedicated to supporting wounded warriors and their families.  Their Family Reintegration Program operates in conjunction with the Military Wellness Program at the Holliswood Hospital in Queens to support wounded warriors and their families by engaging them in therapeutic experiences.

Firefighters are invited to participate in two different opportunity/needs:

1. “Break bread” at the Friday lunches at Holliswood Hospital and/or Friends of Firefighters.  This opportunity affords both parties some great morale time.
2. Assist with respite services.  This could include sight-seeing in NYC, dinner out, etc.
