Financial Contributions

Often the simplest way to give is, of course, through financial contributions. Consider additional ways to be involved here.

Thanks to supporters like you, over the past ten years, Friends of Firefighters has offered therapeutic and mental health services and resources to active and retired firefighters and their families.  We continue to respond to calls; the need is still there.

With your continued support, Friends of Firefighters will offer critical services and long-term support to NYC firefighters and their families – such as confidential counseling, peer support, and wellness services. Through private support, almost all of our services are provided free of charge and we benefit from a strong corps of civilian and firefighter volunteers who believe in our mission and commitment.  Please consider joining us in making mental health and wellness services as accessible as possible to this community.

Unique Ways to Donate

Combined Federal and Municipal Campaigns: Support FoF through an easy tax-deductible payroll deduction. Fill out a pledge card with our campaign number and submit it to your payroll office or campaign coordinator. Combined Federal Campaign # 48156 / Combined Municipal Campaign # 2667.

TD Bank’s Affinity Membership Program: Open a new TD Bank account or use your current TD Bank account to support FoF at no charge to you. Confidentially link your  account to Friends of Firefighters (Code: DR) and TD Bank will automatically make donations from their own funds. All checking, savings, money market, CD’s and retirement accounts are eligible, as are brand new accounts. No withdrawal is ever made from your account. At the end of the year, TD Bank will donate its own funds to FoF, based on a percentage of our members’ balances. Call or visit your local branch to link your current account or open a new one. Open a new account and you will receive $25.

eBay Giving Works Program: When you use eBay, you can donate to FoF through their Giving Works Program. When buying on eBay, search for items that benefit FoF, and when selling items, just designate our organization to receive 10-100% of your final sale price! All donations to Friends of Firefighters, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law.

Every little bit counts:
  • $35 - covers one hour of a counselor’s time with firefighters and families
  • $40 – covers one hour of massage therapy for firefighters and families
  • $100 – covers food for our monthly On the Arm Breakfast for firefighters, volunteers, service members, and families
  • $500 – repairs our downstairs refrigerator compressor
  • $900 – alarm system for our office
  • $5,000 – covers stair chair lift for the wounded and handicapped
